Halo 4 on Conan O'Brien

Halo 4 Franchise Development Director Frank O'Connor and Executive Producer Kiki Wolfkill appeared on the Conan O'Brien Show last night to promote Halo 4. With hilarious results.

There is very little new information here, but we do hear Conan recording voice work for a character he will be playing in the game. With hilarious results.

The video is actually very good, well worth a watch. One thing we do see is this little snippet of multiplayer combat on Narro.. I mean Wraparound at 8:53 in the video.

There's a lot to digest in these few seconds of gameplay, the zoom and the speed it clicks in and out, the walk speed, the nice strafing animation, the BR sound, so meaty, so.. mechanical.. the jump height, the reload animation.. This looks a lot more a sequel to Halo 3 than it does a sequel to Reach. <3

Notice it tells you what medals you've unlocked in the middle of the screen as well as with the icon in the bottom left. I don't think any Halo fan could look at this without feeling that little tug in the pit of your stomach, I mean.. this looks fantastic! This looks like HALO! Dare I say it looks higher than 30fps?

  1. Love everything except for the "Headshot" UI thing that popped up. Way too much like CoD, and really not required. Feels over the top.

    1. Yeah I feel the same, the "Killing Spree" text was even more unnecessary as you'll have Steitzer announcing it through your speakers, the medal pop-up and text in the middle of the screen. I'm still hoping for HUD customisation options, so hopefully we'll be able to disable the things we don't want.
