Frank O'Connor and David Ellis Discuss Spartan Ops on NeoGaf

As a totally new feature there was always bound to be confusion regarding Spartan Ops and I think this hasn't been helped by confusing mis-use of terminology from various news outlets. To clear up, Spartan Ops will deliver a weekly Episode, each Episode will contain 5 Missions and a story cut scene.

Lybertyboy is David Ellis, Stinkles is Frank O'Connor.

So 5 missions, each lasting 15 minutes, plus a 7 minute cut scene. That's an hour and twenty minutes of content each week - Even longer if you feel like challenging yourself - Woah!

"Months not weeks", "Think TV season"

So it has to be 10-12 weeks of content as a minimum, right? That's INSANE. It will be interesting to see how much they charge for future seasons, this is a lot more content than a map pack..

- Cowboy Out.

  1. I would DEFINITELY give them money for that!

I genuinely think it's a great idea for fans who are invested in the Halo universe/canon who want to continue to be in that world and who want to find out more after they've completed the games and read the books.

It gets frustrating to have gaps between games lasting YEARS before we get any sort of progression within the main storyline so for 343i to introduce Spartan Ops as essentially a TV-like season of episodes that continue to push the Halo story after the main game has been completed is such a great idea and I think it's fair to say it's most appreciated to the fans out there, myself included. :)
