Mega Bloks Reveal the Forward Unto Dawn

Oh my!

Mega Bloks showed off their Signature Series Forward Unto Dawn in completed form for the first time today.

Over 2800 pieces puts it in a similar scale to the Lego Super Star Destroyer which is an absolutely enourmous. It's full of awesome details in cluding Chief's cryo pod, a light up Cortana and pedestal, it also splits in two to recreate the closing scenes of Halo 3 or opening scenes of Halo 4.

Loads more images after the jump.

You can recreate the ending of the Halo 4 announce trailer!

Presumably this will be followed in the future by Pillar of Autumn and Infinity models. It really is a beauty and I can't wait to get my hands on it. The Elephant was 1200 pieces and that retailed at £100, so I'd expect this to be close to £200.

  1. That's not the Forward Unto Dawn. That looks more like the Infinity. http://www.halopedia.org/Forward_Unto_Dawn

    1. Whilst it doesn't look a lot like Halo 3's Forward Unto Dawn, it doesn't really look like the Infinity either.

That image shows the FUD from H3 alongside the Mega Bloks model and a couple of shots of the Infinity.

I assume this model is based on the FUD as it appears in Halo 4, which like most things in the game will have had a visual makeover since Halo 3.

The Mega Bloks model retains the fins on the stern with the UNSC logo, as well as the Double Barreled prow (albeit not as prominent as the Halo 3 ship).

The model doesn't have the large hold on the bottom though which I think is a shame as that really separates the FUD's silhouette from other UNSC ships.

I'd expect the Infinity to receive a similar Mega Bloks treatment in the not-to-distant future, I think that would make it easier to see the differences between the two ships.
