Xbox Spring Showcase is Happening Right Now!

Halo 4 is on show right now to press and special guests at Microsoft's Spring Showcase in San Francisco. Unfortunately it's all under embargo until Monday.

I'm sure there'll be leaks over the weekend so keep popping in for updates. Once we have all the info on Monday I'll be posting an assortment of features and opinion pieces so remember to check back or follow me on Twitter.

10th Anniversary Xbox Bundle Hits Europe Next Week

I had wondered if Microsoft would elect to celebrate the tenth anniversary of Xbox in Europe. It was getting closer and closer to the date (14th March) and I'd resigned to the fact we'd probably have to make do with a celebratory Tweet from AceyBongos or something. I've planned to host a party of my own, to relive those first tentative steps out on to the Halo ring 10 years on. Get some buddies round and play Halo CE over system link, just like in the olden days..

Frankie Talks Halo 4 Launch Plans

Frankie has spilled the beans over on Halo.Xbox.com about the launch plans for Halo 4 and what we can expect over the coming months. I've chosen to take Frankie at his word, it would be easy to dismiss much of this as marketting fluff or fanboy catnip, but until we know otherwise it's only fair to take his points literally.

I'll pluck out the key points:
Campaign is playable from start to finish (not to be confused with complete or polished) and multiplayer has been running for a while. It’s amazing to see changes big and small have a dramatic effect on making the game smoother, more playable and more enjoyable in almost every session.
